My Button

I can't believe that I have forgotten about my "Gilded Pear" button. It wasn't until Mrs. R was searching for it that I realized it had never made it's debut. So, to debut my fabulous button, I thought I would say some nice things about it.

1) I love it's green color combination and pattern
2) It's rounded corners are the best and would make for a great coaster
3) The "stamped" font is so great and makes me miss my stamping days
4) The little pear is just adorable with it's scratchy details

Allow me to introduce The Gilded Pear button:

Designing Away

I have been having so much fun doing design work lately. If you haven't seen it yet, you should definitely check out my design blog here. I have many new projects in the works which I am super, super excited about. I am also starting to dabble in the corporate sector. Shhhhhh, it's kinda hush, hush right now and only in the very beginning stages but I love dreaming about the possibilities. It is going to be great. I love having this creative outlet. It's just the best.

The Card Design

So now that Christmas is over and everyone has already gotten our Christmas cards I thought I'd share it with the blogging world. We have had so many comments on it which I love and appreciate. It might just hang on our fridge all year long because I still get excited looking at it and well, I just love it! For all of those who have inquired, I designed it myself and had it printed through the same company we have all of our photography prints made through. The pictures were taken by my good friend Kim who I work with at Simply You Photography. She does a fabulous job. (Although don't get any ideas on booking her since you can just book me! Love ya, Kim :-) As for design, yes I do other design work. You just have to ask. I have been asked about everything from invitations, announcements, brochures, flyers, etc. I love design and love making new things so I am up for just about anything. Here is our card. Accordian fold front and back. Printed on a pearlescent paper (think sparkly snow). Tied with a little green ribbon. I love it.

Love Getting Mail

Don't you love getting your mail this time of year? Rather than the good old junk mail and bills, getting a Christmas card is just so exciting. My Christmas cards came from the printer today and I love them! I am so excited to send them out and am so in love with them that I almost want to mail one to myself just to have the excitement of opening it! You are going to love them too. I can't give you too many hints or even a sneak peek because what kind of fun would that be (maybe next week I can post a picture after most of you have gotten them). All I will tell you is that I designed them myself and they are sort of a twist off of one of the card designs that I made. They are so great! Seriously. Get excited. Look for them in your mailboxes later this week. I just keep looking at them and you'll just want to keep looking at them too!
