Let's Be Friends

You've been around for years on end yet we have never really been good friends. Sometimes I try and yet somehow we always go our separate ways. It's not that I don't like you once we are together. It's the getting together that is hard. I think this this week I will dust you and your BFF, the eliptical, off and rekindle our relationship. I need your friendship and you, well, don't you think we'd all be happier if you weren't just stuck in the basement without any visitors. Let's go for it Mr. Treadmill. Let's make our friendship work.

A Love

I have been missing scrapbooking lately and realize how much I really love creating something, capturing something and documenting personalities, pictures, and well, just our lives. I can't wait to start back up scrapbooking once a month with my girlfriends. We sort of get out of the routine during the holidays but by the time they are over, I am ready. Ready to get back to it. Ready to create. Ready to get organized. Ready to see what I come up with. My friends I scrapbook with are always making fun of my maticulous pages and detail but that is part of the fun of it all. When I have a few pages at the end of the night I just love it. These books are the last project I have really worked on which was for The Girl's birthday. I'm loving the little books and need to get back to just scrapbooking other pages so we'll see what I come up with. Hopefully I can keep sharing some of my pages/ideas. Mostly just because I love it.

The Card Design

So now that Christmas is over and everyone has already gotten our Christmas cards I thought I'd share it with the blogging world. We have had so many comments on it which I love and appreciate. It might just hang on our fridge all year long because I still get excited looking at it and well, I just love it! For all of those who have inquired, I designed it myself and had it printed through the same company we have all of our photography prints made through. The pictures were taken by my good friend Kim who I work with at Simply You Photography. She does a fabulous job. (Although don't get any ideas on booking her since you can just book me! Love ya, Kim :-) As for design, yes I do other design work. You just have to ask. I have been asked about everything from invitations, announcements, brochures, flyers, etc. I love design and love making new things so I am up for just about anything. Here is our card. Accordian fold front and back. Printed on a pearlescent paper (think sparkly snow). Tied with a little green ribbon. I love it.

This Computer

I have never really realized how much I depend on my computer. I just jump on and can do whatever I need to do. I know right where everything is and can find it and it justs work without issue. My bro got a new computer and thought we could all do a computer swap. We were up for it because he is always getting the newest and best and so anything he has is a step up for us. So, he built his new computer, we got his "old" one which is still much faster and better than what we have had and my parents got our "old" one also a huge step up for them. Great trade for everyone.

Now here I sit reloading every little program and resetting every little thing back to the way it was, to the way I was loving it without realizing it. I am missing just having what I need right there. Needless to say, it is still a work in progress. My bro keeps telling me it will be worth it when everything works so much faster. Especially my Photoshop. I believe him. I think :-) I am still just waiting to see the benefits of the switch. Sigh. Here I go to reload office. We'll try it one more time.
